Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a respiratory disease that can be transmitted from person to person. The virus that causes COVID-19 is a new type of coronavirus that can infect both humans and animals at the same time. Mild cases are like a common cold, and severe cases will develop into pneumonia.

Persons who had been to mainland China in the past 14 days must quarantined at home for 14 days from the day of arrival in Singapore; these people should closely monitor their health condition for fever &/or respiratory symptoms such as cough or breathlessness and seek prompt medical treatment when necessary.
